The world-renowned Rhino Charge now has its own dedicated website: www.rhinocharge.co.ke. The website was formally launched on Saturday 9th May at the Rhino Charge Driver’s Briefing held at Braeburn school.

2009 - The Pinks in Charge! Are Back
The Pinks in Charge! are getting ready to compete in the 2009 Rhino Charge. Fundraising is under way, the car is being rebuilt, and the ladies have started training. There is a lot of excitement and anticipation around the Rhino Charge and this year is no different. Pinks in Charge! are determined to finish the race this year, and to get to all 13 checkpoints. 2008 - The Pinks in Charge! Participate in their First-Ever Rhino Charge.
The Rhino Charge was held on 1st of June 2008 in Namunyak, Samburu District surrounded by the overbearing hills known as Mathews Range. The course was pitted with hidden 'luggas - dry river beds', rocks, boulders and very thick thorny bush.
This year, the event raised Kshs. 63.6M or equivalent of $1M for the first time in 20 years.
Only 19 out of the 50 cars completed the full 13 checkpoint course of this year’s Rhino Charge.
Car no 18 – ‘Pinks In Charge’, the new all girls team made up of Caroline Armstrong, Linda Karuru, Patricia Wena, Elodie Sampere, and Mary-Ann Kirubi finished the charge in 32nd position completing 10 out of 13 check points. It was a sterling performance considering we lost two competitive hours in total as a result of the cars’ engine distributor failure that caused mis-firing and fouling of the spark plugs. You will be proud to know that the ladies serviced the car all on their own whenever the car trouble arose!
